POSITION TITLE

 

 

Student Recruitment & Community Outreach Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: This position ensures campus recruiting efforts are maintained to ensure network schools’ enrollment targets are met.   In addition, responsibilities to assist in developing, implementing, and supporting community-based academic projects and programs to directly improve student achievement throughout the network are expected.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Student Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator:

                                                                                                                                                                    

  • Plan and facilitate off campus recruitment events, i.e. daycares, churches, YMCA, YWCA, etc.
  • Plan and participate in marketing strategies and events.
  • Create table displays for events.
  • Provide ways to entertain children while parents are completing enrollment applications.
  • Create a list of resources for student recruitment.
  • Track visit history and foot traffic for informational purposes.
  • Provide campus tours.
  • Create and manage waiting lists for students and communicate with families.
  • Schedule routine visits to daycares, community centers, public libraries, etc. to promote the network and provide partner organizations with enrollment materials as needed.

                                                       

Community Partnership Coordinator:

  • Plans, organizes, and implements community-based projects and programs.
  • Acts as a resource to Confluence Academies to develop connections with community.
  • Researches, analyzes and reports connections and programs as requested to Confluence Academies to provide support services for students.
  • Collaborate with social workers and counselors to establish and provide necessary services for students secondary and workforce needs.
  • Develops and supports partnerships and agreements among local entities such as post-secondary institutions, local workforce investment boards, and business and industry.
  • Assists in coordinating parent involvement programs.
  • Networks with outside experts and recommends worthwhile ideas and programs to Confluence Academies.
  • Create table displays for events.

 

Other Job Duties:

  • Create and support advertising/marketing materials relative to student recruitment
  • Support network social media outlets and website
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, plus five (5) years or more years of related experience preferred.  

 

Certification:  Not required.

 

Language Skills:  Ability to effectively communicate.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general office documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, students, co-workers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,    commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply              concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and act accordingly. 

 

Other Skills and Abilities:  Must be able to transport between school buildings, districts and cities.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.  Ability to utilize technology to assist in day to day operations for students, programs, and staff.
