ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises students, parent volunteers and student helpers. Directs paraprofessionals where applicable and Library/Media support staff.

Education/Experience: Preferred Master degree in Library Science or Instructional Technology.

Experience in running/working in a Media Center preferred. Knowledgeable of computer applications and operations.

Certification: Valid teaching certificate, K-12 Library Science

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, proportions to practical situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. The employee must be able to hear and determine where noises are coming from. The employee is required to drive between buildings on an occasional basis.
