POSITION TITLE:  Assistant Head Football Coach                           DEPARTMENT:  Athletic/Activities

REPORTS TO:  Athletic Director/Principal

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Position is responsible for coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Position motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport. This role would require planning with the Head Coach and the Athletic/Activities Director for competitive opportunities for the team.

Education/Experience:  A minimum of three years relevant coaching experience and Successful completion of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) activity-specific online rules review

Certification:  Valid Teaching Certificate, Four-Year College Degree, or serving as an approved Assistant Coach

Language Skills:    Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of mangers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

Other Skills and Abilities:  Must be able to transport between school buildings and cities.
